This product is an acidic mucopolysaccharide obtained from animal cartilage tissue. The monosaccharides in it are mainly D-glucuronic acid and 2-amino-2-deoxy-D-galactose, and have equal amounts of acetyl and sulfate groups. Contains about 50-70 disaccharide basic units, and the relative molecular mass is 10,000-300,000. The medicinal product is a mixture of chondroitin sulfate A, D, etc. Off-white amorphous powder, slightly salty; odorless; hygroscopic. The aqueous solution of this product is viscous and will not condense when heated. soluble in water
Chondroitin sulfate is divided into A, B, C, D, E, F, H according to its chemical composition and structural differences, among which B, F, and H molecules contain L-iduronic acid. B is not degraded by hyaluronidase, and its color reaction is different from that of A. B is called dermatan sulfate, which is more abundant in the skin. Medicinal chondroitin sulfate is extracted from animal cartilage, mainly A, C and a mixture of various chondroitin sulfates. It has the effects of clarifying lipids, improving the detoxification function of the body, diuresis and analgesia, etc. It is effective for collagen diseases, and it is also effective for hearing impairment caused by streptomycin.
Useing
It is used for some nervous headaches, neuralgia, arthralgia, migraine, arteriosclerosis, etc.; it can also be used for adjuvant treatment of hearing impairment and hepatitis caused by streptomycin.
