Coconut oil is an oil derived from the flesh of the coconut (the dry flesh contains about 63% to 70% oil). A white, semi-solid, blubber like fat. It has the characteristic fragrance of coconut. The main components are lauric acid, myristic acid, oleic acid glyceryl ester. Melting point 23 ~ 28ºC. The relative density is 0.917 ~ 0.919(25/25ºC). Saponification value 250 ~ 264. Iodine value 8 ~ 12. Acid value does not exceed 6.
