Polygonum cuspidatum extract is the rhizome of Polygonum cuspidatum, the product is mainly composed of resveratrol and emodin, the chemical structure is C14H12O3, resveratrol and emodin are the main functional components in Polygonum cuspidatum.
Medicinal function :Studies have shown that resveratrol and emodin exhibit broad antioxidant properties, such as LDL cholesterol oxidation and lipid peroxidation. Resveratrol has also been shown to contribute to cardiovascular health and blood circulation, relieve pain, clear away heat and dampness, and remove toxins and phlegm. Other ingredients including danthrone, emodin and rhein all have anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic and anti-microbial activities.
1. Antipyretic and analgesic effects Resveratrol exerts therapeutic effects through a number of different pathways, and it has been shown to have some antipyretic and analgesic activity.
2. Anti-cancer, anti-mutation ability As an antioxidant, antimutagenic and anti-inflammatory agent, resveratrol has shown chemopreventive abilities against cancer. It can also induce the differentiation of human promyelocytic leukemia cells (anti-proliferation effect) and inhibit the development of pre-mammary carcinoma tissue lesions in mice. Resveratrol can also inhibit protein tyrosine kinase, a substance that catalyzes tyrosine phosphorylation. This kinase is involved in the cytoplasmic signaling of mitotically regulated cells. Inhibition of protein tyrosine kinases by resveratrol may act against mutations by preventing kinase function.
