Salicylic Acid, also known as o-hydroxybenzoic acid, is a fat-soluble organic acid that is widely found in nature and was originally extracted from willow bark. It is also found in the leaves of white pearl, sweet birch, cohote roots, tulip flowers, hibiscus hibiscus, maple and rabdosia leaves, mulberry fruit, the roots of Yunnan white pearl and other plants. It is also found in fruits, vegetables, nuts, herbs, jams, honey, yeast extracts, tea, coffee, juice, beer and wine. It has the chemical properties of phenl and acid. The reaction of dilute aqueous solution with feric trichloride can produce purple yellow iron complex, which decomposes in strong acid. |
